WDFI’s New UCC and Trademark Systems are Now Live

Wisconsin Department of Financial Institutions (WDFI) has launched new features for its UCC and Trademark systems. The new systems require users to register an account – either as an organization or as an individual.

If setting up an account as an organization, all filings by that organization will be housed under one account. Individual users can be added to the organization’s account with each user being able to set up their own password.

Other changes include information that is available when conducting a search. Less information is now available for free with additional information only available by purchasing a copy of the filing: $4 for a copy; $7 for a certified copy.

WDFI is working on instructions on how to use the new system and a FAQ section. In the meantime, if you have questions, you can reach WDFI at 6082668915 or by email at DFI-UCC@dfi.wisconsin.gov.
