Our Firm

Boardman Clark is one of the largest, longest-standing firms based out of Madison, Wisconsin, with roots tracing back to 1881.

Big-firm capabilities with a small-firm handshake.

At Boardman Clark, we are grounded by a few founding principles that guide all of our client relationships. We believe the best advocacy starts with an uncompromising ethical backbone. We know your trust is not given lightly, and must be earned every day. And we know that you don’t just need someone who will tell you what you want to hear. You need candor: thoughtful, unvarnished, balanced counsel at every turn.

Finding the right attorney is about finding the right fit.

You build a relationship with your attorney, not a firm. So we have built Boardman Clark to support a direct, unfiltered line between attorney and client. This connection is at the heart of everything we do.

Any attorney worth their salt will bring knowledge, experience, responsiveness, and resolve. You deserve more. A good advocate is someone you can trust — someone who understands your values and goals, and who will work with you hand-in-hand to find your best path forward, your own best possible outcome.
