Community Involvement
At Boardman Clark, we are eager to do our part and intent on being a positive force in the community beyond the practice of law. This commitment to stewardship is one of the founding principles of the firm and, today, is one of the three prongs of our firm mission statement. Our community involvement comes in a variety of forms including volunteer programs, professional memberships, organized sustainability initiatives, and strategic economic support.
Community Connections
We are fortunate to be a part of a community rich in organizations already doing innovative work on many important fronts. Finding ways to engage and support these organizations is one way we prioritize giving back. Through our work and our civic-minded firm members, we have developed connections with many of these organizations. We also maintain an internal leadership committee dedicated to identifying and maximizing opportunities to support them.
Volunteering + Service
Employees of Boardman Clark are encouraged to support the causes they care about however they can--whether donating time volunteering or serving in leadership positions. The firm allots paid time to staff members for volunteering with community organizations of their choice. We also curate volunteer opportunities and coordinate group volunteer outings to help employees take advantage of the program.
Community Projects
Sometimes the biggest opportunities to make an impact come in the form of game-changing community projects. We are committed to identifying these opportunities and exploring how we can contribute to their success. Most recently, we have been working with Madison Public Market, which broke ground in 2024 and will open its doors in 2025. Boardman Clark was the Market's flagship corporate sponsor and worked with the Market on its MarketReady Program, which provides entrepreneurs connections to resources, coaching, and business mentors with the goal of preparing them for a successful launch in the Public Market or in their own entrepreneurial pursuits.
"To us, this project is about more than creating a space to sell goods. It is an investment in the community, a chance to empower underrepresented entrepreneurs, and a great venue to sample Madison’s diverse culture, foods, and crafts."
