Notices of Amount Due Will be Mailed May 20

The Wisconsin Department of Revenue (DOR) has announced it will be mailing approximately 29,000 Individual Income tax Notices of Amount Due on May 20th to individuals for whom:

  • An individual income tax return was filed electronically on or before April 152019
  • The return had an amount due reported, and
  • DOR has not received payment.

If you receive a Notice of Amount Due and believe payment has already been made, DOR instructs to first verify whether the amount was withdrawn from the bank account.

If withdrawn, contact DOR with the date and amount.

  • If not withdrawn but you paid by check, DOR suggests that the notice may have been generated before the check was processed. In that case, contact DOR to confirm payment.

For further information, contact DOR’s Customer Service Department by phone at (608) 2662772 or email DORIncome@wisconsin.gov .
