IRS Updates to Revenue Procedure: Limits for HSAs and HDHPs

The IRS released its annual Revenue Procedure updating the various limits for Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) and High Deductible Health Plans (HDHPs). For 2018, the limits will be:

ANNUAL HSA CONTRIBUTION LIMIT

  • Self-only coverage, $3,450
  • Family coverage, $6,900

HDHP ANNUAL DEDUCTIBLE LIMIT

  • Self-only coverage, $1,350
  • Family coverage, $2,700

HDHP ANNUAL MAXIMUM OUT-OF-POCKET EXPENSE

  • Self-only coverage, $6,650
  • Family coverage, $13,300
