Title: HR Assistant
Reports to: HR Manager
Position Summary
Boardman Clark is seeking a highly organized and proactive HR Assistant to support our Human Resources and administrative functions. This position works directly with the HR Manager to support all HR functions throughout the Firm including recruitment, onboarding, payroll/benefits administration, and compliance, while fostering a positive work environment.
Responsibilities
- Process bi-weekly payroll.
- Assist with recruitment processes, which may include maintaining job postings, interview scheduling, and candidate communication.
- Creating and maintaining HR records and ensuring data accuracy in HR systems to ensure compliance with established rules and regulations.
- Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes; this includes collaborating with stakeholders throughout the Firm to ensure timeliness of tasks.
- Assist with benefits administration and open enrollment.
- Work with HR Manager to maintain and implement performance management program and evaluations.
- Work closely with HR Manager and other team members to develop and maintain effective HR operations and policies that ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
- Provide backup to the Office Services team members and assist with coordination and maintenance in that department.
- Provide consistent and proactive communication with the HR Manager and other members of the management team to ensure a positive and effective working environment.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in HR, office administration, or a similar role is preferred.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems is a plus.
- Discretion and confidentiality are a must.
