Heather is a member of the firm’s Labor & Employment, School Law, and Litigation Practice Groups. She has over 20 years of legal experience in both the private and public sector. Heather has experience pursuing and defending employment discrimination claims in federal court and before the Wisconsin Equal Rights Division and the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. She has experience guiding a public sector employer through challenging employment situations, including the COVID-19 pandemic, employee discipline, and allegations of discrimination. She has also advised employers on human resources policies and best practices. Heather is an experienced litigator and has handled a wide variety of civil matters in state and federal trial and appellate courts. Additionally, Heather has significant experience in school law and public sector issues, such as compliance with public records and open meetings laws.
Heather was a judicial law clerk for U.S. District Court Judge Barbara B. Crabb in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin. Heather has worked as an attorney in private practice in New York and Wisconsin and for three Wisconsin state agencies.
