Boardman Clark Names Julie McDermott Executive Director

Julie McDermott, Executive Director

We are very pleased to announce Julie McDermott has been named Executive Director of Boardman Clark.  Julie has been with the firm for six years and previously served as the firm’s Accounting Manager. 

“We are so fortunate to have Julie stepping into this role,” said attorney Richard Heinemann, Chair of the firm’s Executive Committee.  “She has long been an integral part of our firm and our management team, and her sharp business sense and superior leadership skills are ideal for leading Boardman Clark in this dynamic period of innovation and change.”

Prior to working at Boardman Clark, Julie spent much of her career in the banking industry, where she worked in various positions including as a credit analyst and working for JPMorgan’s Private Client Services group, which provided banking services to high-net-worth clients.

At the end of June, the Supreme Court issued a decision in Loper Bright v. Raimondo, 144 S.Ct. 2244 (2024), which overturned the 1984 decision, Chevron U.S.A. Inc. v. Natural Resources Defense Council, Inc., 467 U.S. 837 (1984). The Loper Bright decision continues the recent trend of reducing agency power and influence and shifting that influence to the courts.
