Boardman Clark Names Julie McDermott Executive Director

Julie McDermott, Executive Director

We are very pleased to announce Julie McDermott has been named Executive Director of Boardman Clark.  Julie has been with the firm for six years and previously served as the firm’s Accounting Manager. 

“We are so fortunate to have Julie stepping into this role,” said attorney Richard Heinemann, Chair of the firm’s Executive Committee.  “She has long been an integral part of our firm and our management team, and her sharp business sense and superior leadership skills are ideal for leading Boardman Clark in this dynamic period of innovation and change.”

Prior to working at Boardman Clark, Julie spent much of her career in the banking industry, where she worked in various positions including as a credit analyst and working for JPMorgan’s Private Client Services group, which provided banking services to high-net-worth clients.

Final ARPA Rule May Facilitate Infrastructure Projects to Provide Government Services

In early January, the US Treasury Department released its final rule pertaining to the American Rescue Plan Act (“ARPA”), adopting Treasury’s interim final rule published on May 17, 2021, but with certain amendments. Perhaps the most significant amendment to the interim final rule for many smaller municipalities considering various infrastructure projects is the new provision allowing municipalities to use up to $10,000,000 of ARPA funds for “government services.”
