Boardman Clark Attorney Carl Rasmussen’s New Book to be Featured at the Wisconsin Book Festival

Attorney Carl Rasmussen's book, Monstrous Fictions: Reflections on John Calvin in a Time of Culture War will be featured at the Wisconsin Book Festival as part of the "Lawyers Who Write" session on November 3.  More information on this session and the festival can be found here.

In his practice, Carl is a member of Boardman Clark's Estate Planning practice group and counsels professionals, executives, business owners, corporate fiduciaries, charitable institutions, individuals, and families.  His practice includes estate planning and drafting, probate and trust administration, taxation, mediation, and litigation.

New Law Requires Notice to Parents Upon Report of Sexual Misconduct By School Staff Members

On December 9, 2025, Governor Evers signed Assembly Bill 74, now 2025 Wisconsin Act 57 (Act 57). Under the new subsection (Wis. Stat. s. 118.07(6)), each school board, governing body of a private school, and operator of a charter school (collectively “school”) must notify the parent or guardian of a pupil in certain instances when the school receives a report of sexual misconduct by a staff member against a pupil.
