Law Office Climate Challenge Partner

Boardman Clark has joined a growing number of “green” law offices in Wisconsin and nationwide by being named a Law Office Climate Challenge Partner by the American Bar Association (“ABA”). Climate Challenge Partners participate in the ABA’s climate challenge program, which is run jointly by the ABA and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (“EPA”), by developing and implementing policies designed to promote environmental and energy stewardship.

Boardman Clark’s participation in the ABA-EPA climate challenge program is part of a broader sustainability initiative which the firm implemented effective January 1, 2009. The initiative requires Boardman Clark attorneys, paralegals and office personnel to undertake paper reduction “best practices,” ranging from use of double-sided printing and copying to paperless filing and electronic mail management.

In addition, as part of its ongoing sustainability initiative, the Boardman Clark firm has taken steps to cut down on offsite record storage and undertaken a technology audit to find ways of utilizing new technology to further promote energy efficiency.
