Setting the Bar: Four Boardman Clark Attorneys Stepping Up to Lead Bar Associations

Boardman Clark is proud to recognize four of our attorneys who are currently serving—or are in line to serve—in leadership roles within local, state, and national bar associations. Austin Doan (far left) serves as president of the Western District of Wisconsin Bar Association, Michelle Behnke (second from left) is president of the American Bar Association, Jennifer Johnson (second from right) is president-elect of the Dane County Bar Association, and Dan Gartzke (far right) serves as president of the State Bar of Wisconsin.

New Law Requires Notice to Parents Upon Report of Sexual Misconduct By School Staff Members

On December 9, 2025, Governor Evers signed Assembly Bill 74, now 2025 Wisconsin Act 57 (Act 57). Under the new subsection (Wis. Stat. s. 118.07(6)), each school board, governing body of a private school, and operator of a charter school (collectively “school”) must notify the parent or guardian of a pupil in certain instances when the school receives a report of sexual misconduct by a staff member against a pupil.
