Mikaela works in the firm’s Trusts and Estates Practice Group. During her time as a law student, Mikaela clerked at McGuire Law P.C., interned at the Legal Aid Society in New York, and volunteered at Wills for Heroes and the DCBA Free Wills Clinic. Mikaela’s experience engaging with clients during different life stages helps her empathetically and efficiently assist clients in a range of matters.

Beginning July 4, 2026, parents and guardians of minor children may establish new individual retirement accounts for their children called Trump Accounts. This new tax-advantaged retirement savings vehicle is a starter IRA (Individual Retirement Account) for children, with different contribution limits, investment rules, and other requirements than a traditional IRA.
