Kimberly Sweatt is part of the firm’s Business and Real Estate Practice Groups, where she assists clients in navigating business transactions, commercial real estate deals, and related disputes.

Kim works closely with business owners at every stage — from forming new companies to negotiating contracts, buying or selling businesses, and resolving partnership or shareholder issues. She takes pride in helping clients understand their options, protect their interests, and make informed decisions.

In her real estate practice, Kim assists with all types of commercial property matters, including purchases and sales, construction and development projects, commercial leasing, and due diligence. Whether a client is acquiring their first investment property or expanding a growing portfolio, Kim provides practical guidance focused on results.

Kim also handles a range of civil litigation, including breach of contract, business breakups, fraud, unfair competition, and shareholder matters. She understands that litigation can be stressful, and she works hard to find efficient, effective solutions that align with each client’s goals.

As a small business owner herself, Kim knows first-hand the challenges and rewards of running a business. This experience gives her a unique perspective and helps her provide advice that is both legally sound and grounded in real-world understanding.

While in law school, Kim served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Shirley S. Abrahamson at the Wisconsin Supreme Court, where she conducted legal research, analyzed appellate briefs, and assisted in preparing recommendations for the Court.
