Dan’s practice since 1986 includes experience in a variety of legal fields including criminal, personal injury, and workers’ compensation. For the last 25 years he has chosen to focus his practice increasingly (and now almost exclusively) on family law, where Dan represents people in one of the more personally challenging life changes —dissolving a relationship with a spouse or close partner, and resolving all of the issues that arise from these situations. He helps clients approach divorce matters as problems to be solved, not just as cases to be won. When a situation can be resolved only by effective presentation in court, Dan still approaches the conflict with the understanding that the client must be able to leave the courtroom with their dignity intact.

Dan has handled cases where the stakes are high, whether involving a parent breaking off the other parent’s relationship with the children by moving cross country, a spouse stripping an ex-spouse of all financial support, or a spouse forcing an unfair property division at divorce. Every case presents its unique challenges, and Dan’s strength as a family law attorney is in his ability to craft an approach to resolving each matter.
