Title: Social Media and Community Outreach Specialist

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $24 per hour

Job Overview:

We are seeking a Social Media and Community Outreach Specialist to promote the firm’s presence online and in the community by developing and executing digital content and assisting with events and community outreach activities. 

Duties/​Responsibilities:

  • Work with Marketing Director to develop digital content plan, including content calendar, best practices, and social media guides. 
  • Execute external communications, including drafting social media posts, article summaries, firm announcements, and other promotional content.
  • Assist in coordinating firm events, including promotion, materials, and facility/​virtual platform setup; represent firm at events including setup and attendance at firm booth when necessary. 
  • Work with community partners and vendors to facilitate events, sponsorships, and initiatives.
  • Apply outstanding communication skills and firm knowledge to work as a brand ambassador while building positive and effective relationships with community partners.
  • Incorporate appropriate brand and tone in all communication to differentiate and reinforce the firm’s core traits and values.
  • Collaborate extensively with attorneys and staff to execute miscellaneous marketing initiatives.
  • Assist Marketing Director in internal communication efforts.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned, including sharing in administrative duties.

Required Skills/​Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Enthusiasm for engaging and collaborating with others to advance projects.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills with proven ability to coordinate multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and proceed with objectives with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to recognize situations where additional input and teamwork are required for successful completion of projects and tasks.
  • Familiarity with common marketing software suites and tools, including the Adobe Creative Suite, CMS platforms (such as Wordpress and Craft), and CRM solutions.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred. Extensive experience in lieu of education will be considered.
  • Three to five years of related experience in digital content and event coordination; portfolio of relevant previous projects highly preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds at times.
