Title: Billing Clerk

Reports To: Accounting Manager

Job Overview

Our busy law firm is currently seeking an experienced Billing Clerk with legal billing and accounting experience for its Madison, WI office. The Billing Clerk will be required to provide ongoing support to the Billing Department by providing assistance with a variety of clerical related duties. The duties include assisting with editing and maintaining pre-bills, invoice submission, and other duties related to the submission of monthly billing.

Responsibilities

  • Processes associated with creating and submitting a bill for services and related costs to clients.
  • Process monthly statements to clients
  • Monitor accounts to identify overdue payments and arranging payment from client
  • Field internal emails re: invoices, change of address, balances, etc.

Qualifications

  • Associate Degree in Accounting preferred
  • Possess a minimum of 3 years of hands-on billing experience in a law firm accounting environment; Aderant experience is preferred
  • Must have strong technology skills and aptitude for working with numbers

  • Ability to meet all assigned deadlines
  • Salary Range: $45,760 – 49,920
