Working Capital for Community Needs

Since our founding 1984, WCCN has been implementing sustainable economic and social advancement programs through our partnerships with microfinance institutions, development organizations, and cooperatives in Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and Peru.

 
 
City of Geneva

The City of Geneva is a beautiful, affluent city of just over 26,000 people located just west of Chicago.  In addition to its scenic location along the Fox River and its popular shops and restaurants, the City is also known for its low electric rates. Geneva owns its own electric distribution system and operates a peak load natural gas generation plant.  Over the past five years, the city has spent about 4 percent less on electricity.

 
 
Diane Gustin | Heart@Work
Diane Gustin had a vision, to start a company which would provide training and employment to adults with disabilities.  What was the inspiration for Diane’s vision?  That would be her son Drew, who has Down syndrome.  Heart @ Work employs adults with disabilities to produce gourmet popcorn that is sold through retail locations, as corporate gifts, and for fundraisers.
